Maddie Jesse’s Forest of Love Project
Maddie and Linley were friends and teammates that shared a love of soccer, being silly, and having giant hearts. The Forest of Love Project was born out of Madelyn’s Love for Linley and her wanting to do something to honor her friend’s memory. Because Linley's soccer jersey number was 14, Maddie decided to make 14 driftwood trees and donate the sale proceeds to charity. The Project, launched in Maddie's Marshfield garage. took off exponentially and has a huge following. Long nights, exhaustive searches for driftwood and birch (including a special delivery from another Team Linley friend from VT), tired hands, and hundreds of “Linley Trees” later, Maddie has raised thousands of dollars for those in need. Through her efforts, she has been able to support Toys for Tots, the Magical Moon Farm, and Love for Linley Foundation. Magical Moon Farm is an educational, survival center for children, and families, affected by cancer.
THANK YOU, MADDIE!
